In the article, "Cabinet Picks Could Take On Climate Policy," by John M. and Mathew L. Wald. Obama is taking action. One of his focuses is climate change. Since his first term he's expressed his wanting to improve climate change in the United States. Well he's made a major step he's added two people to his cabinet.
President Obama added Gina McCarthy, an experienced clean air regulator. She will be taking charge of the Environmental Protection Agency. Obama also added Ernest J.Moniz, who is a physicist. As well as a strong supporter of natural gas and nuclear power. Other then using coal to run the department of energy. Natural gas is better than coal it's cleaner. An analyst said "It is a difficult, even paradoxical task. Addressing climate change and ensuring domestic energy independence have sometimes proved to be contradictory goals." Mr.Obama has also been pursuing an increasing offshore drilling for oil and gas. In the golf of Mexico and Arctic Ocean.
I believe this is a great start. Since everyone's worried about global warming. That Mr.Obama is trying to find a way to prevent global warming for some time. Even if it's small start it is good. That they are enforcing alternatives. Overall I believe that this will help.
